Linnet and Gene:
This letter was written over a year ago to you both, and was just re-written in February.
Since I retyped it, I have decided to send it to you with this little package, rather than mail one before the other.
After you’ve read the letter, open the brown package carefully, taking care that the gay inner one isn’t crushed. You will find a roll of ribbon wrapped with it, in which to re-wrap the inner package when you are ready.
